Dr. Susan Dennis offers Glidewell same-day crowns that have the same sparkle and beauty as natural teeth. This means that instead of living with an intrusive temporary crown while you wait for your crown to be created at a laboratory, you’ll receive your restoration at the same appointment.
Same-Day Crowns vs. Traditional Methods

The Glidewell fastmill.io in-office milling machine
Traditional crowns require the dentist to prepare the tooth for a crown, take an impression, and place a temporary crown in the first appointment. Patients have to live with an uncomfortable temporary for days or weeks while an outside laboratory crafts the permanent crown. Another appointment is then needed to remove the temporary and place the finished crown. In the meantime, the temporary crown can be irritating to wear and may come off prematurely.
Glidewell’s CAD/CAM technology means that there is never a need for a temporary crown or a waiting period. Instead, Dr. Dennis will prepare your tooth for a crown and place it during the same appointment.

Finishing and Bonding Your Same-Day Crown
The fabrication phase takes about 60 minutes, and you can spend the time relaxing in your chair or doing a quick errand. Once it is complete, Dr. Dennis will thoroughly inspect the crown restoration, approve it with her high standards of excellence, and place it using state-of-the-art bonding techniques and materials. You will walk out the door with your new, beautiful crown already in place the very same day.
