Dr. Adalene Chabon has been immersed in the dental field since early childhood. Her mother is a Registered Dental Hygienist, so she learned the importance of good oral hygiene and compassionate patient care at a young age. During holidays, she assisted her mother at her practice in Ann Arbor and shadowed her for hundreds of hours before beginning her own dental education.
She studied at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, which at that time was ranked the Number One school of dentistry in the world. During her last year there, she won the Francis B. Vedder Prosthodontics Award for Outstanding Achievement in Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics. This is the same award Dr. Dennis received during her education there. She joined Dr. Dennis as an Associate Dentist in August 2017.
Ultimately, she chose dentistry because it combines science, medicine, and art. “I love utilizing problem-solving skills and artistry in providing each patient with health, beauty, and happiness,” she said, “As a dentist, I have a unique opportunity to provide both preventive and comprehensive care. Every patient is unique, and creating a customized plan for their dental and overall health is exciting. Your mouth is a reflection of your health, and everyone deserves a healthy, beautiful smile.”
Dr. Chabon grew up in Saline, Michigan, with her mother, father, and two sisters. Her partner Derek is an organic farmer and a wonderful cook. Together they are passionate about healthy food and living, and Dr. Chabon also enjoys practicing yoga, gardening, beekeeping, and calligraphy. Since she is new to Southwest Michigan, she likes to explore new restaurants, and the National Parks on weekend trips.
